Control

includes the right to appoint majority of the directors or to control the management or policy decisions exercisable by a person or persons acting individually or in concert, directly or indirectly, including by virtue of their shareholding or management rights or shareholder’s agreements or voting agreements or in any other manner:

Core Telecommunication Network

means a system or series of systems of telecommunication equipment that is responsible for routing and controlling flow of telecommunication traffic among different parts of the telecommunication network and handles a range of essential functions including connectivity, routing, mobility management, authentication, authorisation, user management, policy management, management of exposure of the telecommunication network and servicing of Application Program Interfaces (APIs).

Critical Telecommunication Infrastructure

means any telecommunication network, or part thereof, notified under sub-section (3) of section 22 of the Act;

Customer Application Form

or “CAF” means the form as may be specified by the Central Government, for recording the user information for the purpose of providing telecommunication services;
